A Fixed Point Theorem for Generalized Weakly α-Contractive Mappings in Cone Metric Spaces

In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized weakly αcontractive mappings, and we establish a new fixed point theorem for such mappings. We give an example to illustrate main result. Also, we give an application to integral equations. Mathematics Subject Classification: 47H10, 54H25

In this paper, we prove a fixed point theorem for a pair of generalized weakly contractive mappings in complete partial metric spaces. The theorems presented are generalizations of very recent fixed point theorems due to Abdeljawad, Karapinar and Tas. To emphasize the very general nature of these results, we illustrate an example.
